Job Redesign Grant in Singapore

Financial Support for Job Redesign
The ability to execute an effective job redesign cannot be understated. It is a complex process that requires businesses to determine the right contributing factors to pull it through, such as the time and capital invested, the job’s difficulty level, short-term costs and long-term gains, and more.
Support for Job Redesign under Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG-JR) is a job redesign grant that encourages businesses to work with pre-approved consultants to plan the redesigning of a job role, from the work processes and tasks to the responsibilities. Employers can leverage this grant to fund 80% of the consultancy cost, capped at $30,000 per enterprise till 31 March 2022. Thereafter, the PSG-JR funding will be reduced to cover up to 70% of consultancy cost, still capped at $30,000 per enterprise.
Financial Support for Workforce Transformations

The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) is a job redesign grant that encourages employers to undertake enterprise and workforce transformation initiatives by offering a one-off $10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses for supportable enterprise development and workforce transformation programmes.
Job Redesign Grants for Older Workers
As a result of Singapore’s increasingly ageing population, an older workforce is an inevitable reality. Due to the rapid technological and industrial advancements, mature employees are one of the more vulnerable groups that may get left behind. As such, it’s important that companies offer them the training and education support they require to keep their skills and knowledge up to date in a digital-first world. Companies can also look into redesigning job roles to fit their employees’ strengths and abilities. Some ways to accommodate mature employees can range from the simplest, such as enlarged fonts in documents, to the radical, such as job sharing and redesigned work processes with technological aid.
To support such initiatives, the Job Redesign grant is designed to give companies a financial boost of up to $300,000 to help companies create physically easier, safer, and smarter jobs for older workers aged 50 years and above. Creating a safe and welcoming work environment that treats employees with respect and dignity will bear fruit, especially in the long run.
